Mobility is the unsolved problem

Existing tools describe the world. They don't help people move through it safely — and families have no visibility when something goes wrong outside the home.

295Mpeople live with severe visual impairment; 43M are blind. Most still navigate with a 200-year-old tool: the white cane.
US$40k+the cost of a guide dog, with two-year waits. Fewer than 1% of blind people will ever have one.
<1/3the price of today's premium smart canes — with intelligence they don't have, and a family connection none of them offer.

Guide-dog capability, engineered

One integrated system: smart cane, wearable, AI care agent and guardian app.

Hardware

Vilma Core

A smart cane with obstacle sensing, haptic feedback, LED visibility and one-press SOS. Safety functions work fully offline.

In the app

AI Care Agent

Voice-guided navigation and camera-based scene interpretation, multilingual, running on the user's phone so the hardware stays affordable.

For families

Guardian Layer

Live location, fall detection and automated SOS workflows for family and carers — the layer no competitor leads with.

Evidence before scale

We build with blind users, not just for them — co-design advisors are recruited through a national blindness organisation, and every phase is designed to produce the evidence the next one needs.
